Archives For Walmart

The Febreze® Holiday Collection is in stores right now and it is a winner! I love the new fresh holiday scents and the clever packaging. I received a Febreze® Holiday Collection in Cozy Vanilla Sugar – and it is a great blend of sweet vanilla smells!

My pack included the items shown below:

The NOTICEables® are perfect plug-ins for out of the way places that need a little touch of freshness. I put one in my guest room and in the guest bathroom. Both are fairly invisible, but leave such a great scent in the air. The room smells fresh as soon as you walk in! The cool thing about the NOTICEables® is that they are dual scented and rotate the scents in the room. The refills I got were cozy vanilla and vanilla bean. And the package even has a scratch and sniff so you can check out the scents before you buy. Great idea Febreze!

The candle is in the Foyer for the nights when company comes to visit, or I have smelly fish for dinner :)! I love how the  candle itself has no words on it and it fits into any home  decor, but this one particularly can be kept out after the Holidays. The glass shape is beautiful and it is fairly heavy. It is less likely to fall over when bumped, which makes it perfect in my foyer – full of activity! I sprayed the air freshener into the Hall Closet and when I opened the door the next day it still smelled so fresh and vanilla-y. I think this scent will be a favorite around my house. It almost smells like cookies are baking!

If you want to see some great ways to decorate with the Febreze Holiday Collection check out what Candice Olson has to say at The videos showcase some great ways to decorate with Febreze.

The Holiday Collection includes several scents this year:

  •  Apple Spice & Delight: The warming scent of fresh-baked apples coated with sweet cinnamon (available only online)
  •  Cozy Vanilla Sugar: Sweet as notes of vanilla that comfort you like a cocoon of blankets
  •  Cranberries and Frost: Rich as ripe cranberries and frost on a white winter’s day
  •  Glistening Alpine: As soothing as a tree-lined mountainside glistening with the scent of pine
  •  Winter Magic & Glow: Crisp as sunshine-lit icicles in fresh, frosty air
  •  Holiday Bloom & Cheer: As cheerful as a chorus of holiday aromas blended with winter blossoms

Febreze provided my gift pack and I, in turn, am going to pass on another Febreze gift to you. One lucky reader will receive a $10 Febreze coupon booklet and a $15 Visa gift card! How sweet is that?!

When I wake up in the morning, particularly if I did not get enough sleep, my first thought is, ‘What kind of coffee will I have and what creamer will I use?’ I know, kinda crazy, but that’s me! I love a good cup of coffee, but I never drink it black. I actually think it tastes pretty disgusting plain! It started back when I was a little kid and my Dad would fix coffee every morning. I watched him make it and then ‘doctor it up’. He carefully added just the right amount of sugar and then he took out the milk jug and carefully spooned some of the cream off the top. He tasted it, drank some and then filled a large thermos with the rest of the coffee for his day at work. If there was any leftover, we got to drink a sip or two! So, I get it naturally! I love to ‘doctor’ up my coffee also.

After using many kinds of creamers, half and half, skim milk and a few other things, I settled on the flavored creamers. I get the sweetness I like and the milky color in my mug. Recently I was introduced to a new variety of dairy creamers – and I do mean dairy! Natural Bliss by Coffee-mate. What’s so great about them? Four things….the four ingredients in each of them. Non-fat Milk, Heavy Cream, Sugar and Natural Flavor. Now that is something even my Dad would love.

I was given the opportunity to test out Natural Bliss for myself. The first thing I did was to go to and print out a coupon for $1.00 off of 2 Natural Bliss Creamers. You can get the same coupon here. You can see the pictorial album of my trip to the local Walmart SuperCenter on my Google+ page.

The price was perfect at Walmart and then I used my coupon to get an additional $1.00 off of two. I don’t think you can find a better price anywhere, so please take the coupon to Walmart and redeem it there. Natural Bliss is available in three flavors, Vanilla, Caramel and Sweet Cream. The Vanilla is also available in a low-fat version. That will be the next one I buy! So this morning I tried some in my coffee….

I have to say, you can taste the difference. For one thing, most of the other creamers you find in your dairy section of your store do not contain any dairy product. Now, if you are lactose intolerant, like a few of my friends, then you will love those varieties. I could immediately taste a difference in Natural Bliss–it had no aftertaste, no funny flavor, just a great taste! It swirls nicely into the mug and looks a lot like the cream my Dad use to pour into his coffee…but less calories. The vanilla version has 35 calories per serving and 15 calories are from fat. Not bad for the delicious taste! I used a non-flavored K cup in my Keurig because I didn’t want to mask the natural flavor.

This afternoon a friend dropped by, she opened and tested the caramel. ‘Love it’! First words after the first sip! I made an Iced Coco Mocha Coffee. Here’s the recipe: Brew one K cup of Green Mountain Coconut Creme Coffee. Fill a tall glass with crushed ice. Add one tablespoon of chocolate syrup on top. Pour in the coffee. Add 1 tablespoon Vanilla Natural Bliss. Add a straw and enjoy. This version has 85 calories. For a sweeter treat, add whipped cream to the top. This afternoon delight beats the pricey coffee shop drinks easily!

I will say that this creamer is not too sweet, so some of you who like a really sweet coffee treat, may want to add some sugar or flavored coffee syrup to yours. I confess that I am a huge fan of Coffee-mate creamers and always have several stocked in my refrigerator. Natural Bliss is a great addition to the family!
