Archives For Torani

As a member of the She Speaks community, I am often given a chance to test and review new products. This month I received two bottles of Torani Syrup. I am a huge fan of their Syrups, having first noticed them in a coffee shop. I wanted to try and make my own coffee drinks at home, so I purchased my first bottle of French Vanilla. I was sold!!

As you can tell, I keep adding to my collection. I was thrilled when She Speaks and Torani sent me two flavors to test and review. Sugar Free Salted Caramel and Gingerbread. Two perfect Holiday flavors. When I go to my local coffee shop, I always order a Salted Caramel Mocha. I set out to make my own at home with my new flavor. Turns out it is pretty simple to make.

I used a mocha coffee K cup, brewed it very strong, added 1/4 cup steamed milk, a squirt of Chocolate Syrup and then 2 squirts of Sugar Free Salted Caramel. I topped it off with some whipped cream and a few sprinkles of coarse salt. PERFECT!

My non-coffee drinkers have added 2 squirts to their cup of cocoa and loved it! Endless possibilities. I haven’t made anything with the gingerbread syrup, but I am excited to try it now that my gingerbread K-cups have arrived.

I love coffee, but even more than the coffee, I love the many different varieties of coffee drinks. Once I realized I could not support my habit at the local coffee shops, I began to experiment with making coffee drinks at home. I watched what the local barista did, what ingredients were used and how drinks were assembled. At my local shop they use Torani Syrups. So began my love for this wonderful company. I went online and searched for places to purchase the syrups. I found out about their history, a family recipe that started a company that sold Italian soda in 1925. In 1957 the family business grew into a brand loved around the world, but it was really the coffee movement of the 1990’s that catapulted them into the forefront of the coffee specialty drink world.

With an inventory of more than 75 regular flavors and 45 sugar free varieties, Torani can meet your drink needs- hot or cold. There are the expected flavors of French Vanilla (one of my favorites), Hazelnut, Caramel, Almond and fruity flavors like Watermelon, Strawberry, Grape, Cherry. But there are also the more off beat flavors, Bacon, Cupcake, Hibiscus and Peanut Butter.

I scour the internet for coffee recipes, lattes, cappuccinos, steamers and mochas. There are some great ones out there and the Torani site has quite a big collection of coffee and iced drinks. You won’t be disappointed. These syrups are for more than drinks, pour a few squirts into your morning oatmeal, add as flavoring to your recipes, stir a few teaspoons into your whipped cream, add it to your smoothie or milkshake. Endless! Yes!

As a member of SheSpeaks, I received two bottles of Torani Coffee Syrup to review. I was in heaven when I opened my box and found Pumpkin Pie and Sugar Free Vanilla. I immediately brewed a cup of Pumpkin Spice coffee, added some steamed milk and 3 shots of Pumpkin Syrup. I topped it with some whipped cream and sprinkled cinnamon on the top! Let me say, the local coffee shop’s latte doesn’t taste this good. The aroma of Pumpkin Pie is pretty strong–in a great way! I loved the way it made me think I was sitting at the local coffee house sipping a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I also enjoy their sugar free varieties, I love the calorie ‘save’ and there is no noticeable after taste, these syrups are made with Splenda. You can read my review of Torani Pumpkin Pie Syrup at (it’s the 5 Star review by dhidey!) And not to leave out the Vanilla Syrup–delish in Coke, or for me Diet Coke! Try a few squirts.

I recently painted my kitchen and rearranged my ‘home’ coffee bar. I am the envy of my friends and my kitchen is the place to be. I have a milk steamer and lots of recipes for people to use in making their own specialty drink. There have been some very funny combinations of flavors! Here’s a look at my coffee set-up.
