Chocolate and Pretzels–is there a better combination? I don’t think so! I use this recipe for every major holiday and party. It is simple, stores well and is the perfect food craft for small hands!
I used square pretzels, but you can use round wheels or the small normal pretzel shape. You can use Hershey’s kisses (think about the variety that are available!) But for this batch, I used Wilton Candy Melts. And they make the whole process so much easier for small hands to help you make these treats!
THE SET UP
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Line cooking sheet with tin foil (it makes clean up a breeze and keeps the pretzels from sliding during transfers)
Place pretzels on sheet.
Top each with a Wilton Candy Melt (these are available in so many perfect colors)
HEAT IN OVEN for 3-5 minutes.
Watch carefully, the disks will melt quickly. They will get shinier as they melt. Too long and they begin to separate. Not long enough and you won’t be able to top them.
TOPPING
Remove from oven and immediately place an M&M type candy on the center of the melting disk. Push down far enough to lock the candy in place. Be careful of getting your fingers in the melted chocolate.

COOL and enjoy! These can be stored in a cookie container and will last for a while, but in my house, half of them are gone already!!
